Danny walked into the school barn, excited to see his friend, Porky the pig.
Every day, Danny fed Porky with apples and grains before class began.
They would play in the mud; Porky loved to push the ball with his snout.
One day, Porky seemed sad and didn't eat his food. Danny was worried.
Danny stayed by Porky's side, trying to cheer him up with a new toy.
He made funny faces, and soon Porky started to giggle with his grunts.
When the bell rang, Danny hesitated but knew he had to go to class.
All day, Danny thought about Porky and hoped he would be happier after school.
Finally, school ended, and Danny ran back to the barn to check on Porky.
Porky was up, wagging his tail! He had waited for Danny to come back.
Danny knew that Porky just needed a friend, and he promised to always be there.
Together, they jumped around, and Danny felt proud to have such a great friend.
