The sun was bright, the sky was blue. Sammy and Sally had things to do!
"Let's go to the park!" said Sammy with glee, "We'll see what fun things we can see!"
They hopped and skipped, their feet went tap, tap. They heard the birds sing, "Chirp, chirp! Flap, flap!"
The swings went swoosh, the seesaw went bam! Sally giggled with joy, "I’m a big fan!"
A furry squirrel scurried up the tree, and an old wise owl winked with glee.
They climbed the jungle gym, up and down. Sammy exclaimed, "I’m the king of this town!"
They spun on the merry-go-round, round and round. Sammy and Sally laughing, making joyous sound.
A little puppy joined their play. Its wagging tail seemed to say, "Hooray!"
They sat under a tree, as the sunlight did gleam. They talked of their day, like a sweet dream.
"Today was the best," said Sally with a smile. "We'll come back tomorrow and play for a while!"
So, off they went, as the sky turned pink. The park was their place to laugh and to think.
And if you ever see the sun and the blue, know that Sammy and Sally might be there too!
