Hi! My name is Buttercup. I am a beautiful butterfly. I have vibrant colors on my wings. But you know what? I cannot sing like other butterflies. I try, but no sound comes out. I feel sad when my friends sing and I can't. One day, I met some forest friends who wanted to help me learn to sing.

First, I met Sally the Squirrel. She could climb trees and jump from branch to branch. She taught me that to sing, I need to make sounds using my voice. Sally told me to try making different sounds like 'ah' and 'uh'. We practiced together, and even though my singing still sounded quiet, I did not give up.

Next, I met Tommy the Turtle. He moved slowly, but he was very wise. Tommy told me that singing also needs rhythm. He showed me how to tap my feet and clap my hands to make a beat. We practiced singing with a rhythm, and bit by bit, my voice started to get louder.

Then, I met Lola the Ladybug. She had a beautiful voice and sang songs about nature. Lola told me that singing needs melody. She taught me some simple tunes to practice. We sang together, and I learned to change the pitch of my voice. I felt more confident with every note I sang.

Finally, I met Benny the Bunny. He was full of energy and loved to hop around. Benny told me that singing needs different sounds called phonics. He showed me how to say the sounds like 'buh' for bunny and 'fff' for flower. We hopped and said the sounds together. I started to understand phonics and how they are like the building blocks of words.

With the help of my forest friends, I learned to sing! Now, I can join my butterfly friends in their beautiful chorus. I may still be a silent butterfly, but I have found my own unique way to sing. I feel happy and confident knowing that I have friends who supported me. And guess what? My forest friends also learned a lot from me!
