In a sunny patch of the ocean, Sammy Starfish was starting his day.

Sammy loved to count. 'One,' he said, spotting a small red fish.

Two little fish joined the first, darting through the water.

Then came three striped fish, flipping their fins happily.

Four puffy fish puffed their way over a coral branch.

Now there were five! Five fish swirling around Sammy.

The fish danced around the ocean's floor, under the beaming sun.

'Let's play a game,' proposed Sammy excitedly to all the fish.

They all agreed to play hide and seek among the sea plants.

Sammy counted again. 'One, two, three...' as the fish hid.

'...four, five. Ready or not, here I come!' Sammy called out.

Sammy found each friend, one-by-one, sharing joy and laughter.

After their game, the five fish and Sammy waved goodbye, promising to play again the next day.
