Bedtime Story | An Adventure in the City

Once upon a time, in a little village in Bangladesh, there lived a young boy named Khokon. Khokon had always been curious about the big city nearby, but his parents never let him go visit. One day, Khokon's older sister Khuku came home with exciting news. "Guess what, Khokon?" Khuku exclaimed. "Nani Buri has come to visit us, and she has brought her pet fox, Shayal!" এক সময় বাংলাদেশের একটি ছোট্ট গ্রামে খোকন নামে এক যুবক বাস করত। খোকন বরাবরই আশেপাশের বড় শহর সম্পর্কে কৌতূহলী ছিল, কিন্তু তার বাবা-মা তাকে কখনো বেড়াতে যেতে দেননি। একদিন খোকনের বড় বোন খুকু রোমাঞ্চকর খবর নিয়ে বাড়িতে আসে। "আন্দাজ কর, খোকন?" খুকু চিৎকার করে উঠল। "ননী বুড়ি আমাদের সাথে দেখা করতে এসেছে, আর সে তার পোষা শিয়াল নিয়ে এসেছে, শয়াল!"

Khokon's eyes widened with excitement. "A pet fox? That sounds amazing! Can we go see them, Khuku?" Khuku nodded with a smile. "Yes, but there's something even more exciting. Khokon could hardly contain his excitement. He had seen rickshaws passing by his village, but he had never been on one before. The next morning, Khokon and Khuku hopped onto their bicycles and made their way to Nani Buri's house. As they arrived, they saw Nani Buri with her pet fox, Shayal, eagerly waiting for them. Shayal was a beautiful red fox with a fluffy tail and bright eyes. "Hello, children!" Nani Buri greeted them. Khokon and Khuku nodded eagerly. They all hopped into the rickshaw, and soon they were on their way. Khokon's heart raced with excitement as the rickshaw zoomed through the narrow streets of the city. They passed by bustling shops, colorful buildings, and groups of villagers going about their day. But the most interesting part of their rickshaw ride was when they came across a flock of chickens led by their bossy leader, Murgi. Murgi clucked and pecked at the ground, making the entire rickshaw shake. "Watch out, Murgi!" Khokon exclaimed. "You almost made us fall off!" খোকন আর খুকু সাগ্রহে মাথা নাড়ল। তারা সবাই রিকশায় উঠে পড়ল এবং কিছুক্ষণের মধ্যেই তারা তাদের পথে চলে গেল। শহরের সরু রাস্তা দিয়ে রিকশা জুম করতেই খোকনের হৃদয় উত্তেজনায় ছটফট করে। তারা জমজমাট দোকান, রঙিন দালান, এবং গ্রামবাসীদের দল তাদের দিন কাটাচ্ছে। কিন্তু তাদের রিকশা যাত্রার সবচেয়ে আকর্ষণীয় অংশটি ছিল যখন তারা মুরগির একটি ঝাঁক তাদের প্রধান নেতা মুর্গির নেতৃত্বে আসে। মুরগি ধাক্কা মেরে মাটিতে ঠেলে পুরো রিকশাটা কেঁপে উঠল। "সাবধান, মুরগি!" খোকন চিৎকার করে বলল। "আপনি আমাদের প্রায় পড়ে ফেলেছেন!"

Murgi cackled and replied, "Oh, you city folks are too delicate! We chickens rule these streets, you know." They all laughed and continued on their journey, with Shayal wagging his tail in amusement. Suddenly, they spotted Garm Bashi, the village storyteller, sitting under a tree and entertaining the villagers with his fascinating tales. Khokon was delighted to see him and waved excitedly. মুরগি কড়া নাড়িয়া উত্তর দিল, "ওহ, তুমি শহরের লোকেরা খুব নাজুক! আমরা মুরগি এই রাস্তায় রাজত্ব করি, তুমি জানো।" তারা সবাই হেসেছিল এবং তাদের যাত্রা অব্যাহত রেখেছিল, শ্যাল মজা করে লেজ নাড়ছিল। হঠাৎ, তারা দেখতে পেল গ্রামের গল্পকার গারম বাশি, একটি গাছের নিচে বসে গ্রামবাসীদের তার চমকপ্রদ গল্প দিয়ে বিনোদন দিচ্ছে। তাকে দেখে খোকন আনন্দিত হয়ে উত্তেজিত হয়ে হাত নাড়ল।

Next, they encountered Kalu, a big black dog who belonged to a young boy named Khokon. Kalu barked and wagged his tail, running alongside the rickshaw. Khokon giggled and petted Kalu's head, thanking him for the fun chase. Finally, their rickshaw ride came to an end, and they said their goodbyes to Nani Buri and Shayal. Khokon felt exhilarated and grateful for this incredible adventure. He couldn't wait for more adventures in the big city and the many stories he would hear from Garm Bashi.
