In a village vibrant with color and cheer, lived a spider well-loved, named dear Anansi here. But one night, quite curiously so, a moon-gumdrop fell, aglow.
The villagers gathered around in a whirl, “What do we do with this gumdrop, this pearl?” Anansi, with a glimmer in his eight eyes, spun a web up high, “Let’s bake a surprise!”
Anansi muttered words, in rhyme they came, “To bake this gumdrop, well, that's our aim! First things first, we need heat, to bake a treat that no one can beat!”
Riddle me this, dear friends so wise, where does one find the sun’s warm prize? High in the sky or on the ground? Seek it quickly, heat must be found!
“In the sky, that’s where the sun hides!” Chimed little Kofi with twinkling eyes. “A magnifying glass, it can harness light, and make baking this gumdrop just right!”
Sun sizzled softly, oh, what a delight, the gumdrop began to shimmer in light. But next, came a puzzling query: “What holds sweetness so merry?”
Anansi spun a web of sugary threads, “My friend, the honeybee, spreads sweetness,” he said. “To find her hive, let us indeed, follow the flowers, there is the need!”
Flowers blooming, buzzing bees abound, there was the hive, sweetness found. Golden honey poured with grace, into the mix, a warm embrace.
“Our final task,” Anansi exclaimed with cheer, “is to cool the gumdrop without fear. What freezes fast and solid to touch? Give it some thought, it won’t take much!”
A child spoke with wisdom bright, “Ice from the mountains, that’ll set it right!” They traveled far to an icy peak, and with the ice, their goal they did seek.
Finally, with all steps done just so, the gumdrop sparkled, a radiant glow. Anansi smiled, “We’ve solved it together, a delicious treat, now and forever!”
They feasted and laughed, beneath the moonlight, a night to remember, oh what a sight. Anansi had shown them, through puzzles and cheer, problem-solving was the greatest gift here.
