He wore a big hat, a big coat, and big boots too, And all of his tools were shiny and new!
One day, a call came, "There's a fire at the zoo!" Bennett sprang up, shouting, "We've got work to do!"
The alarm bell went "Clang!" The engine went "Zoom!" Off raced Bennett, making the bad fire gloom.
At the zoo, the monkeys chattered in fear, A lion paced, letting out a worried "Oh dear!"
A giraffe cried, "Help us! What will we do?" Bennett said, "Don't you worry, I'll put out the fire for you!"
He saw the problem, it was plain as can be, A little lost cub was playing with fire, you see!
Bennett said, "Little cub, fire is not for play, It's dangerous, you should stay far, far away!"
With a hiss and a spray, the water did fly, Bennett put out the fire, way up high!
The animals cheered, "You're so brave and so strong!" Bennett smiled, "Thank you, now let's all get along."
Bennett taught everyone that day at the zoo, To be careful with fire, for me and for you!
He went back to the station, a hero so grand, Bennett the Brave, the best in the land!
