Benny the brave boy bounced a bright blue ball.
Bounce, bounce, bounce, went the ball, until... WHOOSH! It flew into the jungle tall!
"Oh, no!" cried Benny. "My ball! I need to get it back!"
Into the jungle he went, with his trusty net.
He pushed past leafy vines and hopped over twisty twines.
Suddenly, Benny bumped into something... BUMPY!
It was a dragon, green and scaly, with a tail wagging happily!
"Hello!" said the dragon, flashing a toothy grin. "I'm Drago. What brings you in?"
Benny stammered, "I... my ball... it bounced in here!"
"A ball?" Drago chuckled. "I love balls! Let's play!"
Benny's eyes widened. Drago had his ball!
Benny wanted to play, but he knew he had to go. It was getting late, you know.
"Drago, this is fun, but I need my ball back. It's time for me to go home."
Drago's smile drooped like a wilted flower. "But I'm having so much fun! Don't you want to play some more?"
Benny thought for a moment. He knew what he had to do.
"Drago," Benny said, "how about we play tomorrow? You can keep the ball until then!"
Drago's eyes lit up. "Really? You'll let me keep it?"
"Yes!" Benny smiled. "But you have to promiss to keep it safe until tomorrow."
Drago, thrilled, held the ball tight. "I promise! I'll see you tomorow, bright and early!"
Benny, happy with his decision, waved goodbye to his new friend and walked back through the jungle.
Benny learned that day that responsibility means taking care of your things and keeping your promises.
