Benny the Bunny Learns to Share

Benny the Bunny was a bouncy, fluffy bunny who lived in a burrow beneath a beautiful, blossoming blueberry bush.

Benny loved blueberries more than anything in the world. He ate them for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

"Yummy, yummy, blueberries!" Benny would say, his whiskers twitching with delight.

One sunny day, Benny was hopping through the meadow when he saw something sparkly under a dandelion.

"What could it be?" wondered Benny, his nose twitching with curiosity.

It was a beautiful, shimmering, golden button! It was the biggest, shiniest button Benny had ever seen!

"Mine, mine, all mine!" shouted Benny, grabbing the button and hopping away.

He hopped back to his burrow and hid the button deep inside, under his bed of soft clover.

Benny was so happy with his new treasure. He hopped up and down, giggling to himself.

But as the days went by, Benny started to feel a little bit lonely. He had no one to share his special button with.

One afternoon, Benny saw his friend, Rosie the Rabbit, crying by the carrot patch.

"What's wrong, Rosie?" asked Benny, his ears drooping with concern.

"I lost my lucky button!" sobbed Rosie. "I had it for my birthday, and now it's gone!"

Benny's heart sank. He knew he had something that belonged to Rosie. He felt a pang of guilt.

"Wait here, Rosie!" said Benny, and he hopped as fast as he could back to his burrow.

Rosie's eyes widened. "My button!" she exclaimed. "You found it! Thank you, Benny!"

Benny felt a warmth spread through him. It felt better to share than to hide his treasure.

From that day on, Benny and Rosie shared everything. They learned that sharing brings more joy than keeping things to yourself.
