Once upon a time, in a town painted with cherry blossom trees, there was a big school named Cherrygrove University. It was a place where older kids, much bigger than you, went to learn about the world. Every spring, the school looked like it was dressed up for a party, wearing pink and white flowers all over. This spring, a young boy named Alex was going there for the first time, his eyes bright with excitement.

Alex walked under the flowery trees, their petals dancing in the air. That's when he saw a girl named Lily, who was laughing and catching cherry blossoms. Lily had eyes as bright as the sky and hair like golden sunshine. 'Hello!' Alex said, joining in the fun. 'I'm Alex, who are you?' 'I'm Lily, welcome to Cherrygrove!' she smiled.

The two new friends spent the whole day together. They played hide and seek around the ancient buildings, and Alex felt like he had his own secret hideout. They made pictures with fallen petals and leafy twigs. As the sun began to set, Alex realized he had never had such a fun day in his entire life!

Each day after that, Alex and Lily would meet under the largest cherry blossom tree. They shared stories, ate lunch together, and Alex even helped Lily with her math homework. Even though they were both there to study, it felt like every day was an adventure. Alex started to feel a warm, fuzzy feeling whenever he thought of Lily.

One day, as the cherry blossoms started to fall, Lily whispered to Alex, 'You're my best friend at Cherrygrove. I'm glad you're here.' Alex's heart did a little flip. He wanted to say the same, but instead, he just grinned and twirled her around under the pink rain of blossoms.

Time flew like a bird skipping through the sky, and soon it was the end of the school year. The cherry blossoms had long vanished, but the memories stuck to Alex like sweet candy. He gathered all his courage, took a deep breath, and gave Lily a tiny drawing. It was a picture of their favorite cherry blossom tree with two smiling stick figures under it.

Lily's eyes lit up like the stars when she saw the drawing. 'This is the best gift ever!' she exclaimed. With rosy cheeks, Alex finally said, 'Lily, I think you're my first love.' They both giggled, a little nervous, a little excited. And as they walked hand-in-hand, they knew their Cherrygrove cherry blossom story was just beginning.
