Once upon a time, there was a beautiful girl named Cinderella. She lived with her stepmother and two stepsisters, who were not very nice to her. One day, there was a royal ball happening in the kingdom, and Cinderella wanted to go so badly. But her stepmother and stepsisters didn't want her to go. They gave her so many chores to do that she wouldn't have any time to go to the ball. Cinderella felt sad.
Suddenly, her fairy godmother appeared. She had a magical wand and a kind smile. 'Don't worry, my dear,' said the fairy godmother. 'I will help you go to the ball.' With a wave of her wand, Cinderella's rags turned into a beautiful gown, and she had sparkling glass slippers on her feet.
Cinderella was thrilled and went to the ball. There, she danced with the prince all night. They had a wonderful time together. But as the clock struck midnight, Cinderella remembered what her fairy godmother had told her, 'You must return before midnight, or the magic will wear off.' So she hurriedly left the ball, but in her haste, she lost one of her glass slippers on the grand staircase.
The next day, the prince went all over the kingdom, looking for the girl who wore the glass slipper. He visited Cinderella's house, and her stepsisters tried their best to fit into the slipper but it was too small for them. Cinderella quietly watched them, and when it was her turn, the prince was amazed. The glass slipper fit perfectly on Cinderella's foot!
The prince knew that Cinderella was the one he had been looking for. He took her hand and asked her to marry him. Cinderella happily said yes, and they both lived happily ever after in the castle. Cinderella never forgot the lost glass slipper, and she kept it as a reminder of the magical night that changed her life.
