Tico the coaty was full of fun. Lived he in a big green forest. Sunshine was his love.
One day, Tico found a blue butterfly. 'Play with me!' he said with a leap.
But the butterfly flew up high. 'Wait for me!' Tico clambered up a tree.
Tico reached high, paw to branch, stretch! The butterfly danced just out of touch.
Down fell a cone, plonk on Tico's head. 'Oh!' he cried. 'That was unexpected!'
Rubbing his head, Tico slid down. Met he a frog on a log. 'Hello, frog!'
The frog croaked a laugh. 'Jump with me!' So Tico did jump, jump, jump!
Tico and frog found a stream. 'Race you!' They splashed, jump and run.
Tico was fast. But frog was faster. 'You win!' Tico grinned, out of breath.
Farther they went and found squirrel. Squirrel twirled a nut. 'Care to catch?'
Toss and catch, toss and catch. Laughter filled the air, fun with squirrel friend.
Tired but happy, Tico said bye. Home he went, under the starry sky.
