Curious Duckling's Big Question

In a cozy nest by the pond, five eggs began to crack. 'Tap, tap, tap!'

Five eggs in nest cracking, sounds heard.

Out came four fluffy ducklings, yellow as the morning sun. But the last was different.

Four yellow ducklings hatch, fifth is unique.

This fifth duckling was speckled with spots of many colors. The others stared in wonder.

Fifth duckling, speckled and multicolored, others gaze.

They all played together, but the speckled duckling felt out of place. 'Why am I different?' it asked.

Ducklings play, speckled one feels odd, questions difference.

The mother duck said, 'Your feathers are like a rainbow.' But the duckling was unsure.

Mother duck comforts, compares feathers to rainbow.

One day, the speckled duckling saw its reflection. 'I'm speckled, not yellow!’ it said.

Duckling sees reflection, realizes it's speckled.

A wise old turtle heard the duckling. 'Being different is special,' said the turtle.

Wise turtle encounters duckling, imparts wisdom.

The duckling pondered. 'Could my speckles be good?' it wondered, feeling a hint of hope.

Duckling contemplates, starts to see value in uniqueness.

Next day, the duckling helped find things the others couldn't see with its sharp eyes.

Duckling uses unique trait, helps in a game.

The yellow ducklings cheered. 'Your speckles make you great at hide and seek!' they exclaimed.

Siblings celebrate the speckled duckling's difference.

The speckled duckling smiled. 'Being different makes me, me. And that’s okay!'

Duckling accepts uniqueness, feels joy in individuality.

Together, all the ducklings swam happily, each unique in their own beautiful way.

Ducklings swim together, embracing their diversity.
