Danny woke up, yawned and stretched. Today was going to be special, he could feel it! Sunlight peeped through his curtains as he got out of bed.

He dressed quickly, ate his cereal, and then he heard a loud 'Thump! Thump!' outside. Running to the window, he saw Dex, his friend, who was a huge, friendly dinosaur.

Today was 'Bring Your Pet to School' day. But Danny didn't have a pet, he had a dinosaur! He giggled thinking about the looks on his friends' faces.

Danny hopped on Dex's back, and off they went. As they walked, they made the ground shake. 'Danny and Dex, the super school duo!' he chuckled.

In the classroom, Dex was too big for the chairs. So he sat by the window with his head poking in, making everyone laugh with his goofy dinosaur smiles.

It was the best day ever! Danny learned, played, and even read a story with Dex. As the final bell rang, Danny gave Dex a big hug. 'Best friends forever,' he whispered.
