Once upon a time, in a green and quiet wood, Der Igel and Der Hase played as they should. They hopped and they scurried, they laughed and they raced, without a care in the wide open space.
As they hopped along, they came upon a house so grand, but it sat alone, no one wanted to lend a hand. The windows were dark, the door shut tight, but Der Igel and Der Hase were filled with delight.
They both made a plan, with great excitement they spoke, 'Let's find out the secret, it might be a joke!' With noses to the ground and ears perked up high, they tiptoed inside, without saying goodbye.
Creak! Snap! Crack! The floor made a sound, but they continued on, exploring all around. They found a room, filled with toys and delights, and they played and they laughed, through day and through night.
The mystery was solved, oh what a surprise, the house was once lively, filled with joy and with ties. Now Der Igel and Der Hase made it their own, a place for adventures, no longer alone.
And so, every day, they played in their find, the secret of the house, the joy of a new kind. Der Igel and Der Hase, the best of friends, their fun never-ending, as the storybook ends.
