Tom was a curious little boy. He loved to explore new things.
One day, he found a big wooden box in the attic. The box had a strange lock.
Tom tried to open the box but it wouldn’t budge. He wondered what was inside.
His mom saw him and quickly said, 'Tom, do not put your hand in the box!'
Tom's curiosity grew even more. 'Why not?' he asked.
'It’s very old and could be dangerous,' his mom explained.
Tom thought about what his mom said. He didn’t want to get hurt.
A week later, Tom noticed the box again. He remembered his mom’s warning.
He decided to leave it alone and went to play outside instead.
His mom saw him playing and smiled. She was glad he listened.
Tom learned that sometimes it’s best to listen, even when curious.
He enjoyed his game outside and forgot all about the box.
