Once upon a time, there was a friendly dog named Max. Max loved Halloween because he got to dress up and go trick-or-treating with his friends. But this year, Max's parents had to go out, and they left him in charge of making good decisions.

Max couldn't wait to put on his costume and join his friends. But as he was about to head out, his parents' words echoed in his mind: 'Remember, Max, it's important to make responsible choices.' Max stopped and thought about it.

Max decided to make a responsible decision. He didn't eat all his candy at once, but saved some for later. He made sure to only knock on doors with Halloween decorations and respected people's homes.

As Max walked around the neighborhood, he noticed some of his friends were playing pranks. Even though it seemed fun, Max remembered his parents' words and decided not to join. Instead, he played games and told jokes to make people smile.

As the night came to an end, Max happily returned home. He realized that making responsible choices brought him joy and made his parents proud. He thanked them for trusting him and promised to be responsible in everything he did.
