Once upon a time, in a colorful land called Candyville, there lived a boy named Edward. Edward loved ice cream so much that he built a rocket made entirely of ice cream cones and scoops. The rocket was called 'The Sweet Dreamer.' One summer day, Edward hopped into his rocket and zoomed off into the sky, ready for an exciting adventure in outer space!
As the Sweet Dreamer soared higher and higher, Edward saw twinkling stars and a vast universe all around. He felt so small but full of wonder! Suddenly, his rocket was surrounded by aliens, each holding a different number. The aliens said, 'Edward, we need your help! We are lost in space, and only by solving addition problems can we find our way back home!' Edward smiled and said, 'I love math! Let's do this together!'
The first alien held a number '3' and said, 'Edward, if my friend here has 2 apples and I give him 3 more, how many apples will he have?' Edward quickly counted in his head and exclaimed, 'He will have 5 apples!' The alien beamed with joy and said, 'Thank you, Edward! You're a math wizard!'
Moving further into space, Edward encountered another alien who held the number '7'. This friendly alien asked, 'Edward, if I have 4 spaceships and my friend has 7 spaceships, how many spaceships do we have together?' Edward thought for a moment, then replied with a big smile, 'Together, you both have 11 spaceships!' The alien clapped his hands and said, 'You're amazing, Edward! Thank you for your help!'
As Edward continued his journey, he noticed the third alien holding the number '9'. The alien looked worried and said, 'Edward, if I have 6 stars and my other friend has 9 stars, how many stars do we have in total?' Edward's face lit up, and he responded excitedly, 'You both have 15 stars together!' The alien rejoiced and said, 'You're a true math hero, Edward! Thank you for saving us from being lost in space!'
With each addition problem solved, Edward's rocket flew faster and smoother through space. The aliens guided him back to Candyville, where everyone celebrated Edward's math skills and his bravery. From that day forward, Candyville became known for its love of math and problem-solving. Edward felt proud and happy, knowing that math could take him on the most delicious and exciting adventures!
