On a sunny, sunny day in May, Little Ehana went out to play. With a hop and a skip, she reached the park, her glee as bright as a spark!
Ehana saw the swings go swish and swoosh, and the merry-go-round spin with a whoosh! She saw kids laughing, jumping high, their joy soaring up to the sky.
Under a big oak tree, she found a lonely bunny, its eyes round and shiny, looking rather funny. Bunny's ears were floppy and his fur was brown; he wore a tiny but noticeable frown.
“Hello, Bunny! Let's dance and prance, give this park a happy chance!” Ehana said with a twirl and a dangle, her feet creating a cheerful jangle.
But the bunny didn't hop, didn't skip, didn't dangle; it just sat quietly, not ready to mingle. Ehana paused and thought really hard, like a detective or a silly bard.
Then she smiled and said, “You look so sad, which makes me feel a little bad. If you’d like, we can sit and chat, or maybe even play like that!”
The bunny’s ears perked up a bit, then slowly it started to sit. “Would you like a carrot treat? Or just a tiny ticklish feat?”
Ehana pulled out a carrot bright, with a gentle touch, light as a kite. The bunny nibbled with a thankful glance, and its frown began to prance.
Together they played the whole day long, hopping and singing a cheerful song. Ehana and Bunny, a perfect pair, with smiles and laughter filling the air.
As the sun began to sink, low and cross, Bunny and Ehana felt no loss. They knew their friendship would forever beam, a wonderful, lovely park day dream.
With a wave goodbye and a gentle pat, Ehana smiled, and that was that. The park had turned into a magical place, all because Ehana had embraced Bunny with grace.
So remember, kids, kind hearts win; sharing joy is a soothing hymn. In every park and every play, a little empathy can save the day!
