Once upon a time, in a very tall building in a big city, two people who didn't know each other were about to meet in a way they'd never forget. Becca, a girl who just finished school with lots of books and dreams, stepped into the elevator. Just then, a man named Mr. Bright with a big smile and a shiny badge that said 'Boss' hopped in too. The elevator doors closed with a soft 'whoosh' and up they went.
But just as Becca was about to pick which button to press for her floor, there was a funny ‘boink’ sound and the elevator stopped moving! The lights flickered, and they looked at each other with wide eyes. 'I guess we're stuck!' said Mr. Bright, and he chuckled. Becca sighed and said, 'Well, that's not what I planned for my day!'
Even though it was a bit scary to be stuck, Mr. Bright and Becca started talking. 'What brings you to this big tower?' Mr. Bright asked. 'I’m here for an interview, I just finished school!' Becca replied with a hopeful smile. Mr. Bright nodded, 'Oh, the start of a big adventure!’ He began to tell stories about when he started his own business, with magic words like 'never give up' and 'dream big'.
Becca listened to Mr. Bright and felt like she was in a movie, hearing all about his ups and downs and the times he had to be super brave. 'But why didn't you quit when it was hard?' she asked. Mr. Bright laughed and said, ‘Because, my dear, every big thing starts small, and every wizard was once just a person with an idea and a lot of heart!'
As the two chatted, the light in the elevator seemed to grow warmer, and Becca's nervousness turned into giggles. Mr. Bright taught her a funny song about never losing hope, and they both tried to sing it in funny voices. They were having so much fun that they almost didn't notice the ‘ding’ when the elevator started to move again.
Just before the elevator doors opened, Mr. Bright gave Becca a special coin from his pocket. 'This is my lucky coin. I want you to have it,' he said. Becca's eyes sparkled like the shiny coin. 'Thank you, Mr. Bright! I'll always remember our elevator adventure and the stories you’ve shared!'
As they stepped out of the elevator, into the busy hallway filled with people rushing and phones ringing, Becca felt taller, not because of the high building, but because she felt full of new dreams and plans. She turned to wave goodbye to Mr. Bright, but he had disappeared into the crowd. Becca smiled and put the lucky coin in her pocket, ready for her interview, ready for anything!
