Ellie the Elephant's First Day

Once upon a time, in the heart of the jungle, there lived a young, cheerful elephant named Ellie. She had just moved to a new place, and was feeling a bit nervous about her first day at the jungle school. As she packed her peanut butter and banana sandwich, she worried that the other animals would laugh at her because she was bigger than everyone else.

As Ellie made her way to school, she saw the colorful butterflies flitting around and heard the monkeys chattering in the trees. She took a deep breath and walked into the schoolyard. To her surprise, all the other animals stopped and stared. Ellie felt her ears turning red. She was sure they were all going to point and laugh.

But then, a friendly zebra named Zack trotted up to her and said, 'Hi, I'm Zack! Welcome to our school! We're so excited to have you here.' Ellie's heart swelled with happiness. Maybe this wouldn't be so scary after all. She found a spot on the grass and started to eat her lunch when a group of chatty monkeys swung over.

The monkeys were full of questions about Ellie – where she came from, what she liked to eat, and if she could give them rides on her back. Ellie giggled and answered their questions. Before she knew it, she was the center of attention and she loved it! She realized that being big wasn't something to be embarrassed about, it was something to be proud of.

She even performed in the school talent show with her impressive trumpet playing, making the whole jungle shake with delight. Ellie knew that being herself was the best thing she could be.
