Once upon a time in a vibrant land so grand, In a place called Gokwe, lived a boy named Fanuel, He trained in karate, he was quick and strong, With a heart of gold that could never go wrong. One sunny day, he went to Greystone Park, To fish at the dam and leave his worries in the dark, As he cast his line, his heart skipped a beat, For he saw a girl named Chengeto so sweet.
Chengeto from Gutu wore a smile so bright, They both loved fishing, it felt just right, They shared their stories, laughter filled the air, Becoming friends with a love that was rare. Chengeto told tales of her family's embrace, Of the ZAOGA church, where they found heavenly grace, Fanuel was intrigued, oh, how his heart yearned, To learn more of the lessons he had not yet learned.
Every Sunday, Chengeto invited Fanuel along, To join her at the church, to sing a joyful song, He met her kind pastor who welcomed him with care, And the teachings of love and friendship, he came to share. With each passing day, their friendship grew strong, Through karate and church, they were never wrong, They trained side by side in the church's little hall, In their white uniforms, standing tall and proud, so small.
They learned about kindness, forgiveness, and peace, Values together, they would never ever cease, In ZAOGA's teachings and each other's embrace, They found the essence of friendship's sweet grace. Their friendship blossomed like flowers in spring, With laughter they'd share, and every joy they'd bring, In Gokwe, Fanuel and Chengeto taught us all, That true friendship will never stumble nor fall.
And so, little ones, remember this tale, That friendship's a treasure that will never fail, Just like Fanuel and Chengeto, under wide-open skies, May your friendships be filled with love and never say goodbyes.
