Once upon a time, in a cozy little town, there was a baby girl named Freya. She lived in a house with a red door and had the biggest smile for everyone she met. One special day, Freya went to work with her dad in a mei tai, a snug baby carrier that made her feel like she was getting a big hug.
Her dad was a baker, and Freya loved the warm, yummy smells in the bakery. She watched with bright eyes as her dad mixed and kneaded the dough. 'Today, you're my little helper,' he said, tickling her toes.
Freya met all the people who came to buy bread and sweet treats. They would say 'Hello' to Freya, and she'd giggle and wave her little hands. Her dad gave her a tiny piece of dough to play with, and she squished it between her fingers.
When it was time to decorate cakes, Freya watched in awe. Her dad held her gently as he drew swirls and flowers with icing. Freya clapped her hands, and her dad laughed, 'You have the best ideas, Freya!'
Lunchtime came, and Dad put on a silly chef hat, making Freya giggle until her belly hurt. They ate peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and Dad made hers into the shape of a heart. 'Just like you, full of love!' he said.
After lunch, the mailman arrived with a big package. 'For me?' Freya asked with her eyes. 'Let's see,' Dad said, and inside was a little apron just Freya's size! She was the happiest little baker's helper now.
At the end of the day, they closed the bakery and walked home. The sunset painted the sky purple and orange. 'What a big day we've had,' said Dad. Freya snuggled closer in her mei tai, ready for dreams of sugar and spice.
