Bedtime Story | From Weak Boy to Smart Boy

Hi, my name is John. I am 10 years old. I used to have a hard time with reading and spelling. Some kids called me a weak boy. One day, my teacher told me that learning phonics could help me with reading and spelling. Phonics is learning about the sounds that letters make. My teacher showed me a picture of a cat and asked me what sound the letter 'c' makes. I remembered that 'c' says /k/ like in 'cat'. Next, my teacher gave me a book with words that had the letter 'e' at the end. She asked me what sound 'e' makes at the end of a word. I knew that 'e' says /e/ like in 'cake'. Sometimes, I still make mistakes. But instead of feeling bad, I ask for help. My teacher and friends are always there for me. They encourage me and make me feel confident. कभी-कभी, मैं अभी भी गलतियाँ करता हूँ। लेकिन बुरा महसूस करने के बजाय, मैं मदद मांगता हूं। मेरे शिक्षक और दोस्त हमेशा मेरे लिए मौजूद हैं। वे मुझे प्रोत्साहित करते हैं और आत्मविश्वास महसूस कराते हैं।

Now, I am proud to say that I am becoming a smart boy. I am learning phonics and getting better at reading and spelling every day.
