On the morning of April 1st, Lily woke up with a wide grin.

She had pranks planned for her family, and she couldn't wait to start.

First, she put a whoopee cushion on dad's chair. 'Boom!' it went, and everyone laughed.

Then she wrapped a fake spider in mom's towel. Mom screamed, but then she chuckled.

At lunch, she gave her brother a fake bug sandwich. 'Eww!' he squealed, but then realized it was fake.

The day was full of giggles and Lily made sure everyone smiled.

As night fell, and Lily got ready for bed, she felt a bit lonely. The laughter was gone.

She realized that pranks could be fun, but what she loved was her family being together.

Lily decided to end the day with a family story time, no pranks included.

They all snuggled up and she read them a story, their laughter soft and warm.

With the story ending, they tucked Lily into bed, saying goodnight with love.

"April Fool's is fun, but being with you is the best," Lily whispered, and closed her eyes.
