Granny Grizelda didn't live in a silly city or a boring town. Oh no, Granny Grizelda lived in a garden, round and round!
Her house was a giant pumpkin, orange and plump. Its roof was a floppy sunflower, with bees that buzzed, "Glump, glump!"
Her fence was a row of carrots, tall and bright. And instead of a gate, she had a giant zucchini, shining white!
Now, Granny Grizelda loved to giggle, it's true. Her laugh was like raindrops, bubbly and new!
She giggled at the wiggly worms, she giggled at the fluffy chicks. She giggled at the silly scarecrow doing jumping jacks!
One sunny morning, a little lost ladybug landed on her nose. Granny Grizelda giggled, "Oh my, where did you come from, little one, goodness knows!"
"I'm lost," cried the ladybug, wiping a tear. "I can't find my way home, oh dear, oh dear!"
Granny Grizelda scooped up the ladybug, small as a pea. "Don't you worry, little one, I'll help you, you see!"
She put on her hat, a big, floppy sunflower, and called out to her pet slug, "Come on, Slugger, let's be off on an adventure, but don't be a slug!"
They followed the winding path of giggling mushrooms, past the tomato vines that tickled their tummies, and over a bridge of crunchy corn husks.
Finally, they reached a field of bright red ladybugs, all buzzing and playing. The little ladybug shouted, "Hooray! That's my home, you found it, hurray!"
Granny Grizelda chuckled, her heart full of glee. "Off you go, little ladybug, happy and free!"
And as Granny Grizelda walked back to her pumpkin house, with Slugger trailing behind, her giggle echoed through the garden, a happy, joyful sound.
