Once upon a time, Hänsel and Grëtel lived with their father and stepmother.

They were poor and the stepmother decided they couldn't stay.

She sent Hänsel and Grëtel into the woods to find food.

Hänsel dropped breadcrumbs to find the way back home.

But birds ate the crumbs and they got lost.

They walked until they found a house made of candy.

A kind-looking old woman invited them inside for food.

She turned out to be a witch with a plan to eat them!

Grëtel outsmarted the witch and pushed her into the oven.

The children then found treasure the witch had hidden.

With treasure in hand, they finally found their way home.

They were joyful to reunite with their father forever.
