Henry woke up early, his tummy filled with butterflies. Today was his first day at a brand new school.

After breakfast, he put on his favorite blue shirt and combed his hair. 'You'll do great,' his mom encouraged.

On the bus, Henry sat alone, watching trees pass by. He wondered if he would meet someone nice to sit with.

The school looked huge, but Mrs. Maple greeted him with a warm smile. 'Welcome, Henry! Your classroom is right this way.'

Inside, Henry noticed a girl drawing a rainbow. 'I like your picture,' he said. She smiled and showed him her other drawings.

When it was time to play games, a boy with curly hair asked Henry to join his team. They high-fived after scoring a goal.

At lunch, Henry didn't know where to sit until a group of kids called him over. They shared jokes and fruit slices.

In the library, Henry found a book about dinosaurs. Two kids peered over, curious. 'Dinosaurs are awesome,' one whispered.

During art, Henry and his tablemates created a huge poster. They splattered paint and laughed at the colorful mess.

At recess, Henry joined a quest to build the tallest tower with blocks. It swayed and toppled, but everyone cheered anyway.

The day ended with a story Mrs. Maple read aloud. Henry and his new pals sat enraptured by the adventure.

On the bus ride home, Henry's butterflies were gone. He couldn't wait to return and see his new friends tomorrow.
