Once upon a time in a village at the foot of the great Mount Kailasa, there lived a brave little girl named Mira. She loved to hear the stories of Lord Shiva who was said to live high on the mountain.
Mira's grandfather told her tales of Shiva's wisdom and kindness. With each story, her desire to visit the sacred mountain grew stronger.
One day, Mira decided to see the mountain for herself. She packed some food, her favorite scarf, and a small statue of Shiva.
As she walked, the path became steep and rocky. She climbed over large stones and jumped across tiny streams.
During her climb, she met a spotted deer trapped under a fallen tree. With effort, she managed to free the frightened animal.
Grateful, the deer bowed its head to Mira and then scampered up the mountain. Mira felt happy that she could help.
Further up, she found a grove of trees with parrots chatting. They squawked loudly, telling Mira that adverse weather was approaching.
As dark clouds gathered, Mira sought shelter under a large overhanging rock. She wrapped herself with the scarf and waited out the storm.
When the storm passed, a bright rainbow arched over the sky. Mira continued her journey, feeling hopeful.
Nearing the summit, Mira found a cold, shivering rabbit. She shared her scarf with it, warming the rabbit until it hopped away cheerfully.
Finally, Mira reached Kailasa. It was peaceful, with white snow like a soft blanket and a sky full of sparkling stars.
She placed the small statue of Shiva and whispered her wishes. As she descended, Mira knew she would carry the mountain's serenity with her forever.
