In a vibrant village, with the orange sun smiling overhead, lived a young boy named Kairu. His home was a cozy hut made of clay and straw.
Kairu's laughter was music to the village. He loved helping everyone. He carried water for elders and shared stories with his friends.
One day, Kairu found a lost goat. He knew it belonged to Mr. Okello, the farmer. So he decided to return it.
As he walked with the goat, he passed by Amina's garden. Amina was struggling to pull out weeds. 'I will help her,' thought Kairu.
After the weeding, Kairu and the goat continued their journey. Children watched him and whispered, 'Kairu is so kind.'
Arriving at Mr. Okello's farm, Kairu returned the goat. 'Thank you, Kairu,' said Mr. Okello, smiling wide. 'You have a good heart.'
Later that week, there was a gathering in the village square. The chief wanted to speak about something special.
In front of everyone, the chief announced, 'We have a hero among us. Young Kairu has shown great kindness.'
Kairu blushed as people clapped. He didn't help for praise, he helped because it was right.
The village decided to start a 'Kindness Day'. On this day, everyone would do something nice for others, just like Kairu.
Kairu felt happy. He realized that kindness spreads just like the rays of the sun, touching everything they reach.
From that day on, the village was even more joyful. Kairu continued to help, knowing he had started something beautiful.
