Once upon a time, Lily desided to joyn the school spelling bee. Her clas cheered her on.
Lily practiced evry day with words lik 'friend' and 'because'. She was determinded to win.
She wached the clock in clas, wating for the spelng bee to start. 'Soon,' she thoght.
Lily went to the stage. The first word was 'world'. She spelt it, 'w-o-r-l-d'. Correct!
Nervs made her hands shaky, but she smild and waited her next turn. It felt good to get it rite.
Her next word was 'difficult'. Lily thoght hard. 'd-i-f-f-i-c-u-l-t'. Right again!
In the final round, it was just Lily and Rob. Rob was good, but he mispeld 'library'.
It was Lily's chance to win. The judge said, 'The word is neighbor'.
Lily took a deep breth. 'n-e-i-g-h-b-o-r'. And she won the spelling bee!
Her friends ran up to her. 'You did it! You're the best speler!' they exclaimed.
Lily felt happy. She had worked hard and it had paid off. She couldn't stop smiling.
From that day on, Lily was known as the Queen of Spelling in her school.
