Lucas and Felix were building a cardboard rocket ship. "Almost ready!" shouted Lucas, taping a fin. "This is the best rocket ship EVER!" cheered Felix, adding a shiny button.
Suddenly, the button ZAPPED! The rocket ship SHOOK! Lucas grabbed Felix's hand. And with a WHOOSH, they were... IN SPACE!
"Whoa!" gasped Lucas, eyes wide as saucers. "Look!" squealed Felix, pointing at a comet, zipping by like a sparkly goldfish.
Just then, a spaceship shaped like a giant banana zoomed past. "Let's catch a ride!" shouted Lucas. He steered the cardboard rocket towards the banana spaceship.
The banana spaceship's door opened with a HISS. Three friendly aliens peeked out. They had antennas that wiggled and eyes like shiny marbles.
"Greetings! Need a lift?" booped one alien, his antenna making a sproing sound. Lucas and Felix nodded eagerly. "We need to get back home before dinner!"
The aliens giggled, their antennas doing a little dance. "Hop in, little earthlings!" Lucas and Felix climbed into the banana spaceship, their cardboard rocket trailing behind.
The aliens were from Planet Zorp, where everything tasted like grapes. "Earth food is so...INTERESTING!" chirped one alien, nibbling a cracker. Lucas and Felix giggled.
Soon, Earth came into view. "Almost home, guys!" announced an alien, pointing to a blinking dot. Lucas and Felix cheered, happy to see their home planet.
The banana spaceship landed gently in their backyard. "Thanks for the ride!" shouted Lucas and Felix, jumping out. "Wait!" called Felix. "We have something for you!"
Felix ran inside and came back with a plate of cookies. "These are peanut butter cookies! Our favorite!" The aliens cautiously took a bite. Their eyes widened.
"Yummy! Not like grapes AT ALL!" they chirped, happily munching the cookies. Then with a WOOSH and a ZOOM, the banana spaceship blasted off towards the twinkling stars.
Lucas and Felix watched them go, their hearts full of space adventures and new friends. "Next time," whispered Lucas, "we're bringing more cookies!"
