Lucie and the Lost Cat

Lucie loved her cat, Whiskers. They played together every day. One sunny afternoon, Lucie opened the door to let Whiskers outside. But Whiskers ran so fast that Lucie couldn't catch up. She saw Whiskers jump over a fence and disappear.

Lucie felt sad and worried. She searched everywhere for Whiskers but couldn't find him. Just as she was about to give up, she heard a tiny meow coming from a nearby drain. Whiskers had fallen through the grid!

Lucie ran home to find something to help rescue Whiskers. She grabbed a long stick and a bucket. With the stick, she carefully lifted the drain grid. Lucie lowered the bucket into the drain, hoping Whiskers would climb in.

Whiskers looked scared but he trusted Lucie. He jumped into the bucket and Lucie quickly lifted him out of the drain. They were reunited at last!
