Today was Lucy's first day at law school. She felt both excited and nervous.
The big building looked imposing with its tall columns. Lucy took a deep breath.
Inside, the hall was buzzing with students. Everyone seemed to know where to go.
Lucy found her room, 101. She sat down and arranged her pencils neatly on the desk.
The professor walked in. He was tall and spoke with a strong voice that filled the room.
"Welcome to Law 101, I am Professor Dawes. Today, we start with a special task."
Lucy's heart raced. What could the task be? She hoped she could do it well.
The professor explained, "You will all have a mock case to solve by the day's end."
Lucy was paired with a boy named Ben. They were given a case about a stolen bicycle.
Working together, they looked for clues in the case files and discussed their ideas.
At the end of the day, they presented their case. Lucy felt proud of their teamwork.
Professor Dawes smiled. "Well done. You're on your way to becoming great lawyers," he said.
