Meow, a curious little kitten, woke up early with wide, twinkling eyes. Today was her very first day at Whiskerwood Elementary!
She had a purple backpack packed with pencils, paper, and her favorite sparkly stickers. Meow purred with excitement.
At the school gate, Meow met Mr. Hoot, the wise owl teacher. He welcomed her with a hoot and a flap of his wings. 'Hoot! Hoot! Welcome to Whiskerwood!' he said.
Inside the classroom, Meow saw her new classmates—Twitch the mouse, Fluffy the bunny, and Whirl the bird. They were playing and having fun!
'Today we are going to learn the alphabet,' said Mr. Hoot. 'A is for Apple, B is for Ball, and C is for Cat!' Everybody giggled and clapped.
Meow felt a little shy, but she joined in the fun. 'L is for Love, M is for Meow, and N is for Noodles!' she said. Everyone cheered!
During recess, Meow and her friends played hopscotch and tag. They laughed and ran, making new friends was so much fun!
After recess, they had story time. Mr. Hoot read them a tale about a brave cat who saved the day. Meow imagined herself as the hero.
Before long, it was time for art class. Meow loved to paint. She painted a beautiful rainbow and everyone admired her work.
The school day ended with a big surprise—a welcome party just for Meow! There were balloons, cakes, and a big banner that said, 'Welcome, Meow!'
Meow felt happy and loved. 'I love Whiskerwood Elementary,' she purred. And she knew she had found a place where she belonged.
As the bell rang, Meow waved goodbye to her new buddies. 'See you tomorrow!' she said. And with a twinkle in her eye, she walked home, happy and content.
