In a small town, there lived a little girl zombie named Millie. She had patchy green skin and big hopeful eyes. Each morning, Millie shuffled to school, wishing for a friend.
The children at school ran from Millie. 'Zombies can't be friends!' they yelled. Millie felt sad, but she knew she wouldn't hurt a fly.
Then there was Myron, the town bully. He had a scowl like thunder and enjoyed making kids cry. Nobody ever stood up to Myron.
One sunny day, Millie saw Myron picking on a smaller boy. She gathered her courage and staggered over to him.
'Please stop,' Millie moaned. Myron sneered and shoved her away. 'Scram, zombie!' he shouted.
Millie's tummy grumbled loudly. She was very hungry and Myron's mean words didn't help at all.
Suddenly, Millie couldn't control herself. She leaped at Myron, and in a flash, he was gone. Millie burped softly.
The schoolyard grew silent. Then, one by one, smiles spread across the children's faces. The bully was no more!
The kids approached Millie carefully. 'You won't eat us, right?' they asked nervously. Millie shook her head.
'We'll help you find something yummy that's not human,' said a kind voice. The children gathered pork and beef for Millie.
Millie munched happily on the meats. Her stomach settled, and her heart felt full. Finally, she had friends.
With Myron gone and new friends by her side, Millie never felt the urge to munch on humans. The neighborhood was joyful at last.
