Once upon a time, in a cozy little town, a girl named Lucy found a lost puppy.
She knelt down and the puppy ran to her, wagging its tiny tail happily.
Lucy saw no collar on its neck. 'Are you lost?' she whispered, hugging the puppy.
She named him Buddy and put up posters to find his owner.
Days went by and no one called. Lucy and Buddy became the best of friends.
They played fetch in the park and ran through the golden fields together.
One sunny morning, a lady saw Buddy and cried out, 'That's my Charlie!'
Lucy's heart sank. She knew she had to do the right thing.
After talking to the lady, Lucy understood that Buddy, or Charlie, was missed.
Lucy decided it was time to let him go back to his first home.
With a heavy heart, she hugged him goodbye and watched him trot away.
As Lucy wiped away her tears, she felt proud for doing the right thing.
