Ollie the octopus woke up with a twirl, today was his first day in the human world! He put on his hat that was shiny and blue, and with a swift swish, he said, 'To school, woo-hoo!'
Ollie's mom packed him a lunch full of glee, there were seaweed sandwiches and a spritz of green tea. 'Remember to smile and always be kind, and don't forget your colorful mind!'
As Ollie wobbled down the street, he saw kids and critters, oh what a sweet treat! A turtle with a backpack, a squirrel with a book, all off to school, just take a look!
At the school gate stood Miss Ladybug, with a giant pink bow and a welcoming hug. She said, 'Welcome Ollie, we've been waiting for you! You'll make lots of friends and learn something new!'
In class, Ollie met Bee the Bumble, who gave high-fives with a fuzzy tumble. They drew with crayons, played with clay, oh what a delightful and buzzing day!
During story time, Ollie listened wide-eyed, as Miss Ladybug read about Fred the Fried Fly. They laughed, they clapped, they giggled with glee, feeling so happy and free.
At recess, Ollie played hop and splish, joined by a fish with a wish. They jumped and splashed in a bubbly pool, making recess the coolest part of school!
They built sandcastles tall and wide, and laughed so hard they nearly cried. When recess ended with a bell's ding-dong, they all chanted their favorite song!
In the afternoon, Ollie met Rita the Rabbit, who taught him numbers as a daily habit. They counted seashells, each a different hue, practicing math in colors so true!
As the sky turned pink and evening came near, Ollie felt brave and knew no fear. 'School is fun and filled with cheer, I can't wait to come back here!'
Back at home, his mom gave a hug so tight. 'Tell me everything!' she said with delight. Ollie shared stories of friends and play, brilliantly brightening her day.
As he drifted to sleep with dreams so sweet, Ollie couldn't wait for another school meet. His first day whirl came to an end, knowing tomorrow would bring more friends.
