Once upon a time, in a place called Puddle Town, there lived a happy little penguin named Percy. Percy loved two things more than anything: playing in the rain and eating delicious snacks. One sunny morning, Percy decided it would be the perfect day for a picnic.
Percy packed his favorite red checkered blanket, a basket full of yummy sandwiches, crunchy carrot sticks, juicy apples, and a big chocolate chip cookie. He put on his favorite yellow hat, whistled a cheerful tune, and waddled out the door.
In Puddle Town, the sun was shining, but there were always puddles to play in. As Percy set up his picnic near a large, sparkling puddle, his friends, Daisy Duck and Freddy Frog, saw him and hopped over to say hello.
Percy was delighted to see his friends. He invited them to join his picnic, and they all shared the tasty food. They laughed and played games, and even had a jumping contest, which Freddy Frog won with a giant leap!
Suddenly, dark clouds gathered above, and a soft pitter-patter of rain began to fall. Percy clapped his flippers in joy. What could be better than a picnic with rain? He invited his friends to dance in the raindrops, and they splashed and twirled around the puddles.
As the rain stopped, a beautiful rainbow stretched across the sky. The friends sat down again to enjoy the last of their snacks under the rainbow. Percy thought this was the most perfect picnic ever. With full bellies and happy hearts, they watched the sun start to set.
Percy, Daisy, and Freddy said goodbye as the stars began to twinkle in the purple evening sky. They promised to have another picnic soon. Percy snuggled into his cozy bed that night, dreaming of all the fun they would have the next time they met.
