Today was a very special day for Pippy. She was going to school for the first time.

She wore her favorite red dress and shiny black shoes. Her backpack was as big as her dreams.

At breakfast, Mom said, 'You'll make lots of friends and learn new things!'

Walking to school, Pippy held Mom's hand tight. She saw children playing and felt shy.

In class, Miss Lily welcomed her with a warm smile. 'You'll sit here,' she said, pointing to a small desk.

'Hi, I'm Tom,' said the boy with curly hair beside her. Pippy smiled back.

They started with the alphabet song. Pippy sang loudly, feeling a bit more at home.

Recess time came, and she stayed close to Tom. They played on the swings together.

Lunch was in the big hall. Pippy shared her cookies with a girl named Zoe.

After lunch, they drew pictures. Pippy's was all bright colors and smiles.

Storytime was next. Pippy listened to Miss Lily read about adventurers and magic lands.

School ended with a song. Pippy felt happy. She couldn’t wait to come back tomorrow.
