Puppy woke up with a wag in his tail and a WOOF! in his bark. It was his first day of school!
He gobbled down his breakfast, a big bowl of kibble, and then ran in a circle around the kitchen table, yipping with glee.
"Slow down, Puppy!" chuckled Mama Dog, as she packed his lunchbox with a squeaky chew toy and a juice box.
Puppy hopped into the car, his tail thumping a happy rhythm against the seat. School! He was finally going to SCHOOL!
The car pulled up to a bright, colorful building buzzing with other puppies, all different shapes and sizes.
Puppy gulped. All these new faces! What if they didn't like him? What if they didn't want to play?
Mama Dog seemed to sense his worry. "It's alright, Puppy," she said, giving him a reassuring lick. "School is fun! You'll make lots of new friends."
Puppy took a deep breath and stepped out of the car. He was ready. He was a school dog now!
Inside the school, everything was bright and cheerful. There were paw paintings on the walls and alphabet blocks scattered on the floor.
A friendly bulldog with a big smile welcomed him. "Welcome to Puppy School! I'm Mr. Woofington, your teacher. Come on in and meet everyone!"
Puppy shyly wagged his tail and entered the classroom. There were puppies playing with chew toys, puppies reading picture books, and puppies napping in a sunny corner.
Suddenly, a little dachshund with floppy ears bounded towards him. "Hi! I'm Sparky! Do you wanna play fetch?"
And just like that, Puppy's worries vanished. He barked happily and ran to join Sparky, his tail wagging so hard it looked like it might fall off!
