Once upon a time, in a small, whispering forest, plants talked and played together every day.
One beautiful spring day, between a cactus and a sunflower, a glowing seed began to grow.
This growing flower was gorgeous. With crimson petals, she stood tall and proud.
“My name is Rosie,” said the rose. “I am a cactus. Nice to meet you. Your petals are so beautiful, Rosie,” said the cactus.
“I wish I had petals like yours. But not everyone can be smart, beautiful, and prickly,” said the sunflower with a wink.
Rosie responded, “Well, I'm the most beautiful flower here! Look at my shiny petals!” Her arrogance surprised everyone.
“How dare you compare me with the prickly cactus? I'm much more beautiful!” Rosie exclaimed.
The cactus was very upset by what he heard but could not say anything. Tears welled up in his eyes.
The sunflower said, “Rosie, it’s not nice to say such things. We all have our own beauty, including the cactus.”
“But his thorns are not pretty!” Rosie retorted.
“Rosie,” said the wise oak tree, “beauty is in all forms. Even the cactus has its charm and strength.”
Rosie looked at her petals and then at the cactus. She began to understand and said, “I’m sorry, cactus. You are strong and unique, and that’s beautiful too.”
