Tessa woke up early on Christmas morning. She was excited to see what Santa had brought.
She tiptoed downstairs and saw a pile of presents under the tree. Tessa read the tags on each gift.
One tag said 'To Tessa, Love Santa.' Another said 'To Mom, from Dad.' Tessa was eager to open her gifts.
Her mom brought out a big box. 'Tessa, this is a special gift. Are you ready?' Tessa nodded with anticipation.
Inside the box was a book. Tessa's eyes lit up. 'I love to read!' she exclaimed. It was a book about nature.
Tessa read the title, 'Amazing Animals.' She flipped through the pages and read about lions, tigers, and bears.
Tessa's mom said, 'This book has lots of words you know. Try reading it aloud!' Tessa tried. 'Lions roar!' she read.
Tessa continued, 'Tigers growl! Bears hibernate!' Her mom smiled. 'You're learning new words, Tessa.'
Tessa felt proud. She kept reading and found the words 'fast,' 'stripes,' and 'forest.' Tessa was becoming a good reader.
After a morning of reading, Tessa played with her new toys. She thought, 'Christmas morning is so much fun!'
Tessa hugged her mom and said, 'Thank you for the book! Can we read it together every night?' Her mom smiled and agreed.
