Lin and her fluffy dog, Luna, were playing in the sunny meadow. Lin threw a frisbee and Luna chased it.
Suddenly, they heard a soft 'meow'. Behind a bush, they found a scared little kitten with big green eyes.
Lin gently picked up the kitten. 'We'll find your home,' she promised. Luna wagged her tail excitedly.
They asked Mr. Baker at the bakery. He shook his head. 'No kittens here,' he said, dusting flour from his apron.
'Let's try the library,' Lin suggested. They walked down the street, Luna leading the way with her nose in the air.
At the library, Mrs. Maple looked down. 'No kittens, but she can stay here while you search,' she offered.
Thank you! said Lin. They left a poster with a drawing of the kitten and their phone number.
They wandered near the park. 'Perhaps someone playing here has seen her family,' Lin thought.
Lin called to the children, 'Have you seen this kitten?' They all came to look but nobody knew her.
As the sun set, they heard a ringing. Lin answered her phone. 'Yes, this is Lin. You found the kitten's family?'
Lin listened with a smile growing on her face. 'We'll be right there!' she exclaimed.
Reunited, the kittens' family hugged her tight. 'Thank you, Lin and Luna!' they cheered. Lin felt her heart warm.
