Once upon a time, there was a little dog named Sammy. Sammy had fluffy brown fur and big floppy ears. He loved going on adventures in the park with his best friend Lily. One sunny day, Sammy and Lily decided to explore the forest at the edge of the park. They walked along a winding path, surrounded by tall trees and colorful flowers.

As they ventured deeper into the forest, they heard a rustling sound. Sammy's ears perked up, and Lily held her breath. Out from behind a bush appeared a tiny squirrel named Nutmeg. Nutmeg had silky gray fur and a bushy tail that twitched with excitement. 'Hello, Sammy and Lily!' squeaked Nutmeg. 'Do you want to play hide-and-seek?' Sammy wagged his tail and barked with joy. 'Yes, we do!' he said.

Sammy, Lily, and Nutmeg played hide-and-seek for hours, giggling and chasing each other through the trees. They climbed up fallen logs, jumped over mossy rocks, and splashed in puddles. They were having so much fun that they didn't even notice the sun starting to set.

Suddenly, Sammy realized that it was getting dark. He looked around and saw that they were far away from the path. 'Uh-oh,' whimpered Sammy. 'We're lost!' Lily and Nutmeg exchanged worried glances. But then, Nutmeg jumped onto a high branch and pointed towards a flickering light in the distance. 'Look, over there!' Nutmeg chirped. 'That must be the way back to the park!'

Sammy, Lily, and Nutmeg followed the flickering light, and soon enough, they found themselves back in the park. Their adventure had come to an end, but they were safe and happy. Sammy thanked Nutmeg for helping them find their way. 'You're a clever squirrel!' Sammy said. Nutmeg blushed and twitched his tail. 'I try my best!' he squeaked. From that day forward, Sammy, Lily, and Nutmeg were the best of friends, always ready for another exciting adventure.
