Once in a forest, lush and green, a fox named Fred fell into a pit unseen.
Down he tumbled with a mighty 'thud.' Fred looked around and saw no one in the mud.
Fred tried and tried, oh how he tried, to jump out of this deep divide.
Alas, Fred was tired, worried, and wet. He shouted and shouted with no one to get upset.
Just then, a wolf called Wilbur walked by, his ears perking up to the pitiful fox's cry.
'Why are you in such a deep well, my dear friend Fred? Have you been in water, or is it all in your head?'
'Oh Wilbur, Wilbur, don't dilly or dally. I’ll tell you the tale if you hurry and rally!'
Wilbur grabbed a branch, sturdy and strong, tossing it to Fred, who sang a rescue song.
'Climb on up, climbing isn't tough. Up you go, life's not so rough!' sang Wilbur the wolf with a huff and a puff.
Fred held the branch tight, with all of his might. Together they pulled, climbing out of plight.
'Thank you, dear Wilbur, for saving the day. Now let me share stories in a magical way.'
And so, they sat under the twilight skies, sharing tales till the moon started to rise.
