The Colors of Feelings

Once in a small town, there were kids who each had special colors that showed how they felt. Sally was blue when she was sad, Jimmy was red when he got really mad, and Lily was yellow because she was always happy. But one day, their colors got mixed up!

Sally woke up and found that she was not blue anymore, she was red! She felt so angry and didn't know why. She went outside to see if some fresh air would help her feel better.

Outside, Sally met Jimmy. But Jimmy wasn't red, he was blue. He was really sad and was crying because he lost his favorite toy. Sally tried to help, but because she was red, she only got madder.

Then they saw Lily who was not yellow at all. She was green and felt very sick. 'My tummy hurts,' she said. The kids felt strange, not at all like themselves and didn't know what to do.

They decided to sit down together and talk about their feelings. As they talked, they started to understand each other better. Sally wasn't as mad anymore, Jimmy stopped crying, and Lily's tummy felt better.

Suddenly, as they understood each other, their colors began to change back! Sally became blue but smiled, knowing it's okay to be sad sometimes. Jimmy turned red and laughed, he wasn't mad, he felt strong. And Lily shone bright yellow again, feeling happy and healthy!

Colors change back and kids understand their feelings.

From that day on, they decided to always talk about their feelings and help each other. No matter what color they were, they learned that talking and sharing made them the best of friends.

The children become good friends, lesson learned.
