In the town of Wibble Wobble stood a bright blue bakery. The baker, Mr. Bun, made the best muffins in town. Fluffy and sweet, they were a real treat. But one day, the biggest muffin went missing. Oh dear, oh me, oh my!
Mr. Bun was puzzled. ‘Who could steal my muffin? There isn’t a muffin theft in Wibble Wobble!’ He called for Welly the Weasel, the curious critter detective, known for solving the trickiest of puzzles.
Welly the Weasel wiggled his whiskers and checked the crumbs. ‘We'll find the thief, Mr. Bun,’ he said with a wiggle and a waggle. And so, the great muffin mystery began!
They searched the bakery high and low. Dobbin the Dog barked, ‘No muffin here!’ Percy the Parrot squawked, ‘All clear!’ Suddenly, a trail of crumbs led them to Wibble Wobble Wood.
Into the woods, they followed the trail. Over bridges, under trees, until they reached a small, hidden house. Tap, tap, tap! Welly knocked on the door. Out popped Mrs. Munch, the mouse.
Mrs. Munch munched on a tiny piece of muffin. ‘Did you take the muffin, Mrs. Munch?’ asked Welly. ‘No, I only found this crumb!’ squeaked Mrs. Munch. Welly's whiskers twitched with thought. ‘Hmm,’ he said.
‘Let's look further,’ said Welly. They followed more crumbs to a pond. There, a frog named Sir Ribbit sat, looking rather satisfied. Welly asked, ‘Did you take the muffin, Sir Ribbit?’
Sir Ribbit croaked, ‘I did not. But I saw Freddy the Fox with crumbs on his whiskers.’ Off they went to Freddy's den. But when they arrived, Freddy was nowhere to be found.
Suddenly, Welly spotted a shiny object in the bushes. He dug deeper and found Freddy's silver lockpick. With a sigh, Welly knew. ‘Freddy the Fox did it,’ he said. Freddy felt guilty and returned the muffin.
‘I just wanted a bite!’ Freddy cried. The town forgave Freddy, and the muffin was returned. But from that day forward, everyone knew to ask instead of sneak.
Mr. Bun thanked Welly and everyone celebrated with muffins for all. The mystery was solved, and Wibble Wobble went back to its wobbly ways. The end!
