Once upon a time, in a small cozy bedroom, lived a little girl named Lily. Lily was a bit scared at bedtime because she always imagined there was a scary monster hiding under her bed. Every night, as soon as her parents turned off the lights, Lily would quickly jump into her bed, pull the covers up to her chin, and try not to let her feet dangle over the edge of the bed. But no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't shake off the fear of the unknown creature lurking under her bed.

One night, as Lily was lying in bed, she heard a soft shuffling sound coming from beneath her. She felt her heart race and her breath quicken as she prepared for the monster's appearance. But to her surprise, a friendly voice whispered, 'Don't be scared, Lily. It's just me, the friendly monster under your bed.' Lily cautiously peeked over the edge of her bed and saw a cute, furry monster with big, round eyes peering back at her.

The monster introduced itself as Milo and explained that it had been lonely under the bed all this time. Milo had always wanted to be friends with Lily but didn't know how to approach her. With every passing night, Milo had gathered the courage to make himself known to Lily. 'I promise, Lily, I'm not here to scare you. I'm here to protect you from any real monsters that might try to harm you,' said Milo with a gentle smile.

Lily felt a surge of relief and curiosity. She realized that she had let her fear prevent her from making a wonderful friend. From that night on, Lily and Milo became the best of friends. Milo would entertain Lily with funny stories and play hide-and-seek during the day. And at night, Milo would chase away any spooky shadows or imaginary monsters that might try to bother Lily. With Milo by her side, Lily slept peacefully, feeling safe and loved.
