The Hat and the Book

A big fat cat sat on a mat. He had a big red hat. The fat cat had a chat with a rat. The rat had a bat and a mat. But the rat had no hat. "Can I get a hat?" the rat did ask. "I see you have a big red hat." The cat did tap his big red hat. "You can get a hat. Not this hat, but I have a bag. In this bag, there is another hat." And so, the cat dug in the bag. He got a hat out. The hat was big and fun and had a tag. It fit the rat top to tip. Now, the fat cat and the rat sat on mats. The cat read a book, and the rat had a look. He saw the words and the pics in the book. "So, this is a book," said the rat. "I see the words and the pics. It looks fun!" "Yes, a book can be fun. You can see a lot in a book. You can learn a lot from a book too," the cat told the rat. Both the cat and the rat sat down. They read the book, from start to end, with the big red hat and the bat. They had fun, they laughed, and they were glad.
